There were knitted angels everywhere yesterday when representatives from churches throughout Fleet brought them to our church for a Service of Blessing. Many people have been hard at work throughout the year knitting the angels so they can be distributed throughout the town before Christmas. Each angel brings a special message aiming to share God’s love and encourage people to think about the true meaning of Christmas.
Revd Nick Oborski of Fleet Methodist Church led the service, reminding us that angels are messengers, and that we can never know what effect they might have on the lives of those finding them.
These photos show all the lovely angels – about 3,000 in total, and all shapes, colours and sizes. We at Fleet URC knitted over 400 of them.
