Our morning worship this morning was conducted by Revd Graham Hoslett, the minister of Westborough Church, Guildford.
Mr Hoslett’s powerful sermon addressed the anxiety and uncertainty of our current times. Over and over again the Bible reminds us that the Lord doesn’t deny trouble and difficulty and pain and suffering to us, but neither does He abandon us to them. We were reminded that, in a vivid metaphor, Jesus likened himself to a hen, longing to gather her chicks under her wing (Luke 13:31-34). Jesus has assured us that, no matter what travels we have to face, He is with us always, even to the end of the age.
