Sunday Worship for 20th September 2020 – The Lord of All Creation

This Sunday, Lay Preacher Karen Smith leads our prayers, accompanied by the Reverend John Whitton, who reflects on the Old Testament reading from the book of Jonah. We continue to think about Creation and our impact on the world and are reminded of The Lord of all Creation.

Many thanks to our readers this week, Moray Henderson and Moira Bamfield.

The audio service is accessed by dialling this number: 01252 978350. You will hear a recorded voice say, ‘Welcome. The Fleet and Beacon Hill United Reformed Church Service will play shortly’; and then there is quite a long pause before the service cuts in. (Please be patient as this can take a while.) The cost of the call is your normal charge for an 01252 phone call.

URC Audio Service

Every Sunday the URC Daily Devotions team sends out a church service in both written and audio format. This has the feel of a radio service, and is in familiar URC style.

Sunday’s service of Holy Communion is led by the Rev’d Anne Sardeson who ministers in Essex. Hymns include Maddy Prior’s rendition of How Firm a Foundation, Glorious Things of Thee Are Spoken and Amazing Grace, both by John Newton, and Timothy Rees’ God is Love, Let Heaven Adore Him.

The order of worship is here, and the recording of the service is here.
