Poem for Mothers

Best friends Katie Green and Sophie Roberts wrote this poem and read it in church on Mothering Sunday.

This is a poem to all the mums to say thanks for all you have done:

You help us out through the bumps in the road;
you help us carry the heaviest load.

You dry my tears and make everything better;
so we wrote you a poem instead of a letter.

Sometimes you drive me round the bend;
you’re not just my mum, you are my best friend.

You work well with God to help you give birth;
you create something beautiful to walk on the earth.

I know you would give me your last penny,
so this is full of kisses, and there are many.

Thank you for all your love;
Sent to us from God above.

I love you, Mum.
