LENT 2022

Lent begins on Wednesday, 2nd March (Ash Wednesday), and we are offering resources for daily reflection and the opportunity to meet online with our friends from Beacon Hill URC for Lent Study groups.

Daily Devotions – ‘The Journey to Jerusalem’

Reverend Michael Hodgson of the Walton and Weybridge Pastorate has prepared some Daily Devotions for Lent, which he has generously allowed Fleet URC to share.  You can view or download the booklet on the following link:

Online Lent Group Meetings – ‘Holy Habits: Following Jesus’

This year, we will be discussing some of the content of the Lenten course Following Jesus which looks at Holy Habits in the life and passion of Jesus, written by Andrew Roberts, Methodist Minister and author of Holy Habits (Malcolm Down Publishing, 2016). The aim of Holy Habits is to deepen the discipleship of those who are following Jesus, which seems a good focus during Lent.

All the Biblical material is taken from Luke’s Gospel, and each session will follow a similar structure:

A time of Gathering – A time of Reflection – A chance to Respond.

There will be three sessions, and we are grateful to Revd Graham Hoslett and to lay preacher Karen Smith for leading them:
