Advent 2: In the Beginning

Sunday Worship for 6th December 2020: ‘In the Beginning’

Helen Bailey and her family were inspired to make this Advent wreath from recycled materials.  If you have made your own wreath, you are invited to share a photo of it for us all to enjoy.

Today, the second Sunday in Advent, our Minister, Ruth Dillon, brought us a reflection called In the Beginning and presided at Communion. Lay Preacher Karen Smith led our prayers and the lighting of our Advent wreath, as it visits different homes in the church community. The service included Communion.

Many thanks to Pam Hudson, who lit the Advent candles, to Robert and Bridget Mitchell for the readings, and to Helen Bailey for leading the responses.

You can now dial in to listen to the service. Please pass on the following information to anyone you feel might be helped by this (eg if they don’t have a computer). The recording will be available throughout the week.

The audio service is accessed by dialling this number: 01252 978350. You will hear a recorded voice say, ‘Welcome. The Fleet and Beacon Hill United Reformed Church Service will play shortly’; and then there is quite a long pause before the service cuts in. (Please be patient as this can take a while.) The cost of the call is your normal charge for an 01252 phone call.
