At the start of our Bible Study on 16 July we had been intrigued by the washing line hanging before us. In the second half of the evening all was revealed!
We were tasked to think of three verses from scripture that mean the most to us, write them down and peg them to the washing line. They were divided into those from Hebrew Scripture, the Gospels, the Letters, and Revelation. It was wonderful to think about verses and psalms that had influenced and comforted us, or had just stopped us in our tracks. Choosing only three was hard.
When the Minister read out the pieces we had chosen we found that many of us had found comfort in the same verses and psalms. In small groups we discussed what the exercise had meant to us. Was it a good experience? Yes, we felt very much that it had been really good. It brought back many memories of our walk with the Lord, and it truly was a real blessing.
