Recycling your old mobile phones and ink cartridges is a green way to raise money for Christian Aid’s work around the world.
As well as worsening landfill problems when they are dumped, mobile phones and ink cartridges contain chemicals that are harmful to the environment. However both items can be recycled using just one envelope, thus cutting down on packaging and helping Christian Aid’s work with some of the world’s poorest communities.
Christian Aid receives £4 for every mobile phone, and £1 for each recyclable ink cartridge returned.
Freepost recycling envelopes can be ordered at www.recyclingappeal.com/christianaid or by calling 08451 302010 and specifying Christian Aid. Free collections can be arranged for bulk recycling for offices and schools etc.
This is a great way to support Christian Aid without any additional cost to yourself.
