Autumn Fair 2011 – Another Great Success!

10 November, 2011 / admin / News and Views

Craft Fair 2011We were delighted with the success of this year’s Autumn Craft Fair.  This is an annual event, held each year on the first Saturday in November, and this year it attracted more visitors than ever before.

Elder Meg Nicholson opened the Fair with the following prayer:

“Living God, we take a few quiet moments before the business of the day gets underway, to thank you for the skills and talents of everyone here.  We would pray that as well as the business transactions, this day will be a joyous occasion, a time of sharing and fun.  Therefore, Lord, we ask for your blessing on our stallholders, our visitors, and all the ‘background’ people who have worked, and are still working, for the success of this craft fair.

“In the name of Jesus, accept this our prayer.  Amen”

Autumn Fair 2011Shoppers were pleased to have the opportunity to buy gifts for themselves or others by browsing through a wide range of stalls.  (See the photos on this website.)  They also enjoyed the delicious food provided throughout the day by our catering team.

A huge ‘thank you’ has to go to our organiser, Darrell Henderson, for her meticulous planning and attention to detail.  Many stall holders return year after year, and we have now become firmly established on the craft circuit.

Craft Fair 2011The good news is that you will not have to wait until next November to come again.  Darrell is already planning a Spring Fair for the first weekend in March next year.  So we look forward to seeing you then!
